Don't get so angry that you sin.  Don't go to bed angry and don't give the devil a chance.

I tell you for certain that everyone who hears my message and has faith in the one who sent me has eternal life and will never be condemned.  They have already gone from death to life.

I am the Lord your God.  I am holding your hand, so don't be afraid.  I am here to help you.

I am surrounded by trouble, but you protect me against my angry enemies.  With your powerful arm you keep me safe.

Be brave and strong!  Don't be afraid of the nations on the other side of the Jordan.  The Lord your God will always be at your side, and he will never abandon you.

I am the Lord your God.  I am holding your hand, so don't be afraid.  I am here to help you.

Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  The Father is a merciful God, who always gives us comfort.

Don't fall in love with money.  Be satisfied with what you have.  The Lord has promised that he will not leave us or desert us.

If you  do what the Lord wants, he will make certain each step you take is sure.

14  If you are sick, ask the church leaders to come and pray for you.  Ask them to put olive oil on you in the name of the Lord.  15 If you have faith when you pray for the sick people, they will get well.  The Lord will heal them, and if they haved sinned, he will forgive them.

All who trust the Lord, be cheerful and strong.

10  God blesses those people who are treated badly for doing right.   11 God will bless you when people insult you, mistreat you, and tell all kinds of evil lies about you because of me.  12 Be happy and excited!  You will have a great reward in heaven.  People did these same things to the prophets who lived long ago.

3  Be fair to the poor and to orphans.  Defend the helpless and everyone in need.
4  Rescue the weak and homeless from the powerful hands of heartless people.

7  Be patient and trust the Lord.  Don't let it bother you when all goes well for those who do sinful things.
8  Don't be angry or furious.  Anger can lead to sin.

You are my hiding place!  You protect me from trouble, and you put songs in my heart because you have saved me.

The Lord has sent me to comfort those who mourn, especially in Jerusalem.  He sent me to give them flowers in place of their sorrow, olive oil in place of tears, and joyous praise in place of broken hearts.

7  My dear friends, we must love each other.  Love comes from God, and when we love each other, it shows that we have been given new life.  We are now God's children, and we know him.  8 God is love, and anyone who doesn't love others has never known him.

The Lord God is waiting to show you how kind he is and to have pity on you.  The Lord always does right; he blesses those who trust him.

Please help me, Lord!  All who were faithful and all who were loyal have disappeared.

Always be humble and gentle.  Patiently put up with each other and love each other.

Pray that our Lord will make us strong and give us peace

When you cross deep rivers, I will be with you, and you won't drown.  When you walk through fire, you won't be burned or scorched by the flames.

Some friends don't help, but a true friend is closer than your own family.

But he replied, "My kindness is all you need.  My power is strongest when you are weak,"  So if Christ keeps giving me his power, I will gladly brag about how weak I am.

If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest.
